Natasha Davui

Natasha Davui is a contemporary Aboriginal artist based in Far North Queensland.

She proudly descends from the Gunggari people of the Maranoa River region in southwestern Queensland and the Djabugay people, whose traditional Country spans the lush rainforests, gorges, mountains, and valleys along the Barron River in the tropical north.

The Gunggari have ancestral ties to the Aboriginal communities of Woorabinda and Cherbourg, and their cultural heritage is deeply rooted in the vast inland landscapes of Queensland.

The Djabugay people are the Traditional Custodians of the rich and diverse environments of the Wet Tropics region, with a deep spiritual connection to their land that continues to shape their cultural identity today.
