Mainie – Taking Pride in What We Do
Mainie is a unique melding of authentic Aboriginal art and luxurious fashion
At Mainie we take pride in the exceptional service we offer to our customers. We stand proudly behind an assurance of high-quality, ethical business practices, and a 100% customer satisfaction guarantee.
The Mainie team is committed to exceeding our customers’ expectations in every way we can. We are confident that when someone buys a Mainie piece, they will be impressed with every aspect of their purchase, from the service they receive from our sales team to the way in which their exquisite ‘wearable art’ piece is lovingly presented in a handmade gift box, accompanied by information about the provenance of the Aboriginal art design and the artist’s story.
Our first-time online customers tell us of their delight in their Mainie purchase, from receiving their delivery and opening the parcel, to finding that their new fashion piece is even more beautiful than they had expected. Nothing compares to the soft, sensuous look and feel of pure silk. It is only when one of our stunning silk scarves, wraps or kaftan tops is out of the box and in their hands that our customers can fully appreciate the finely handcrafted qualities that make a Mainie piece the perfect addition to their wardrobe.
We are humbled by the fact that, in the five years since we first launched our luxurious, authentic and unique Australian Aboriginal designs online, we have had only one return from a customer, and that was to exchange their purchase for an item of a different colour.
We strive to make sure that every Mainie customer is a happy customer. If we make a mistake, we fix it straight away. If for any reason a customer contacts us to let us know there is a problem with their order, we respond immediately to their concerns. It is of utmost importance to us that every Mainie customer becomes a wholehearted ambassador for our brand. We want everyone who wears a Mainie to feel part of our special story and to happily tell their friends about us.
We are especially heartened by our customers’ support for our mission to provide sustainable opportunities for traditional Aboriginal women living in some of the most isolated and remote communities in Outback Australia.
Every Mainie sale enables an Aboriginal woman to earn an independent income from her own work, as well as to preserve the ancient Dreamtime stories that been handed down through many generations of her ancestors over tens of thousands of years.
All Aboriginal artworks featured on Mainie’s distinctively Australian fashion pieces are ethically acquired in accordance with the Indigenous Art Code. The Aboriginal artists retain the copyright to their unique designs and receive royalties from every Mainie sale.
When our customers purchase a Mainie, they are directly supporting the economic empowerment of Aboriginal women artists, their families, and their communities.
We are genuinely grateful that so many of our customers shop with us time and time again. It tells us that we are on the right track, but we are never complacent. The Mainie team is always looking for better ways to do things. If you have any suggestions about how we can improve our customer experience at Mainie, we would love to hear from you.
Please email us at info@mainie.com. We look forward to hearing from you.
