Refund policy

At Mainie, we want you to be completely satisfied with your online purchase. If you change your mind for any reason, we’ll gladly accept a return of any full-priced item subject to the following conditions:

    • Return Window: The item must be returned within 30 days of purchase along with the original proof of purchase. We suggest trying on all items as soon as they are received to ensure you can return them within this timeframe.
    • Condition: Items must be returned in original condition, unworn, unaltered, unwashed, and with their tags attached.
    • Full-Priced Items: Only items purchased at full price are eligible for return.

Please note that we do not refund initial shipping charges for returned items, except for faulty items.

How Do I Return an Item?
To return an item, please contact us via email at deniskeeffe@mainie.com quoting your original order number.

Return Conditions:
    • The item must be returned within 30 days of purchase together with the original proof of purchase.
    • Items must be returned in original condition, unworn, unaltered, unwashed, and with their tags attached.
    • The item/items were purchased at full price.

International Returns:
International returns cannot exceed $1000 AUD in value. If necessary, please ship items separately as Mainie is not responsible for paying duties to receive the goods. If a charge is incurred, it will be deducted from your final refund.

Upon receipt of the items, they will undergo a quality review. Once cleared, you will receive a refund or credit note for the purchase price (excluding original shipping cost) directly to the original method of payment used. Please allow up to 7 business days for returns to be processed. You will receive an email notification once your refund is finalised.

We are not liable for the loss of garments being returned. We recommend using a traceable delivery method and retaining your tracking number.

What If My Item Is Faulty?
We apologise if an item you received is not in perfect condition. Please contact us at deniskeeffe@mainie.com

We will meet our obligations under the Australian Consumer Law, which may include replacing the item if stock is available or providing a refund upon receiving your faulty item back.

What If I Receive an Incorrect Item?
If you have received an item you did not order, please email us at deniskeeffe@mainie.com so we can resolve this for you.

What If My Order Goes Missing?
If your order has gone missing, please email us at deniskeeffe@mainie.com so we can resolve this for you. Please note, due to insurance limitations, if your parcel is deemed lost in transit, we reserve the right to process a refund in lieu of shipping a replacement order. Parcels acknowledged as lost in transit by Mainie will be reimbursed minus any logistics charges incurred due to customer error.

Do I Have to Pay for Shipping My Return?
Subject to our obligations under the Australian Consumer Law, you will be responsible for shipping and handling charges to return any unwanted items. We do not refund initial shipping charges for returned items, except for faulty items. 

If the package does not reach us safely, we will not be able to complete the refund. We recommend using a traceable method and retaining proof of postage until you have received confirmation that your return has been processed.

How Will I Be Refunded?
Upon receipt of the items, they will be checked to ensure they meet the conditions above. Once cleared, you will receive a refund or credit note for the purchase price (excluding original shipping cost) directly to the original method of payment used. Please allow up to 5 business days for returns to be processed. You will receive an email notification of the status of your refund once finalised.

Can I Exchange an Item?
Yes, please contact us at deniskeeffe@mainie.com to make arrangements to exchange an item. Please note that additional shipping charges may apply.
